UPDATE- Kochi, Road Safety, Private Bus Rash Driving

In response to RTI application filed with Kerala Road Safety Authority, Thiruvananthapuram, the Road Safety Commissioner has replied that details with respect to the below queries are not available with KRSA. The same has been redirected to State Police Chief, Transport Commissioner and ADGP- State Crime Records Bureau.

The queries raised in RTI application dated 20 November 2019

1) Please provide information on number of private bus accidents in Kochi for the period 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019
2) Please provide information on the following:-
Is there an initiative by State Government of Kerala to cease rash driving of private buses and KSRTC buses in Kerala
3) Provide information on action taken on errant bus drivers and penalties on bus owners within Kochi.
4) Please provide number of cases booked against private bus drivers and bus owners within Kochi .
5) Please provide information on steps taken by traffic police and motor vehicles department to halt rash driving by private bus drivers.
6) Please provide reasons as to the failure of state authorities in curbing rash driving by private bus drivers in Kochi
